Qualifications

  • Minimum High School Diploma
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation (required)
  • Availability on weekends (required)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (required)
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish strongly preferred

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain records and reports for outreach activities
  • Create awareness in the community about the agency’s programs and services
  • Meet objectives set by the office manager and Outreach In-charge
  • Gather applications from prospective clients and Homecare Aides, forwarding them to the branch
  • Speak to community groups to explain and interpret agency purposes, programs, andpolicies
  • Maintain inventory and stationery at the home office as assigned
  • Follow up with referrals and applications biweekly and promptly
  • Bring creative ideas to improve local marketing strategies
  • Respond immediately to any medical emergencies by notifying emergency response providers and rendering first aid until ER personnel arrive
  • Direct agency activities and assist in preparing public relations materials
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work cooperatively with co-workers and external organizations
  • Strong organizational and task prioritization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English/Spanish strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills
  • Understanding of community outreach and client needs
  • Ability to travel extensively within Cook County and surrounding areas

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome visitors, ensuring a professional and friendly atmosphere
  • Answer, screen, and route incoming calls while providing basic information as needed
  • Receive and sort daily mail, packages, and deliveries
  • Maintain appointment calendars and assist in scheduling meetings with caregivers and staff
  • Perform general clerical tasks such as filing, photocopying, scanning, and faxing
  • Coordinate office activities and communicate with housekeeping and maintenance when issues arise
  • Assist in processing new hire paperwork, including running name searches and background checks
