Homecare Aide Job Description
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a safe and verifiable driving record (optional)
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience as a Homecare Aide for any agency preferable
- Documentation of a physical examination no more than six months prior to employment
- Have a clear background check at the time of hiring
- Is not listed in the excluded provider from the federal Department of Health and Human services
- Successful completion of pre-service training
- Being present at mandatory trainings
Responsibilities:
- Assist the client in daily activities
- Responsible for meal planning and preparation
- Keep the home in the optimum state of cleanliness and safety
- Help the client with mobility needs
- Responds immediately to any medical emergencies by notifying emergency response providers and render First Aid until ER personnel arrive
- Report service hours using Electronic Visit Verification
- Other duties as assigned
