We are thrilled to announce that we will be hosting flu shot clinics at several of our office locations in preparation of this year’s flu season. We urge all of our workers to get vaccinated to help prevent flu related illness for both themselves as well as their clients. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), “Influenza is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses that infect the nose, throat and lungs. Some people, such as people 65 years and older, young children, and people with certain health conditions, are at higher risk of serious flu complications. The best way to reduce the risk of flu and its potentially serious complications is by getting vaccinated each year.” At Sahara our home care aides primarily work with clients that are 60 years or older which is why it is vital for all of our staff to be well prepared for this year’s flu season by getting vaccinated. Receiving the flu vaccine will help protect our workers as well as our clientele from serious complications posed by the flu virus. We believe it is important to safeguard our clients and workers and promote healthy practices to limit the spread of infection. We will be hosting flu shot clinics at the following locations:

- Devon 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Skokie 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
- October 16th 2023
- Bolingbrook 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Justice 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
- October 19th 2023
- Elgin 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
- Hanover Park 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
- November 7th 2023
- Lombard 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM
