Homecare Aide of the Year Award, has been taking care of clients since 2011.

Petraq has been working with our Lombard location as a caregiver since Sahara opened its doors in 2011. He has a background in physical education-coaching students in track and field and training Olympic athletes in his native Albania. Petraq uses his past experience to help his clients with light exercises.

“I’m very grateful and humbled and I will continue to make my clients’ lives better by bringing my best self to work,” he said in a statement.

Petraq was nominated for the award by Nilofer Salman, CCP Supervisor-In Charge of our Lombard location.

“Mr. Jakova has been extraordinary working as a Homecare Aide for many years and his dedication to this role has far exceeded any expectations,” she said. “His easy-going attitude, adaptability, and adjusting according to the client’s needs is exemplary and we appreciate all the help he has given us during the pandemic.”
