Sahara served as a platinum sponsor for the Illinois Association of Community Care Program Homecare Providers annual meeting held on August 19, 2019 at Northern Illinois University in Naperville.
IACCPHP, which is celebrating 40 years of the CCP program, represents approximately 40 homecare agencies based all over the state that are contracted with the Illinois Department on Aging to provide in-home assistance to seniors through the program. Association members work with the Department on Aging and other aging network associations to improve CCP services as well as other community-based services for seniors.
Paula Basta, Director of IDoA and other staff from the department, state representative Anna Moeller, and various representatives from local Managed Care Organizations all attended the event. Topics discussed included MCO billing and strategic priorities and caseload projection for the CCP program in 2020 as well as the importance of advocacy on how to influence decision makers.
