Sahara Home Care is proud to congratulate MCC Academy’s FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team 10435 – Intelligent Robotic Systems on an extraordinary achievement—winning their first-ever championship at the Rock River Robotics Off-Season Competition in Rockford, Illinois.
Despite being only in their second year of competition, Team 10435 delivered an exceptional performance throughout the tournament, finishing the event completely undefeated. Their consistent success during qualification matches earned them the No. 1 seed, allowing them to select Team 111 Wildstand and Team 11195 Volt as their alliance partners for the elimination rounds.
The alliance maintained its undefeated streak throughout the playoffs, culminating in dominant championship performances with impressive scores of 511 points in Final Match #1 and 493 points in Final Match #2.
This victory marks Team 10435’s fourth competition of the 2026 season and the team’s first tournament championship. Throughout the season, students devoted countless hours to designing, building, programming, testing, and continuously improving their robot for the 2026 FIRST Robotics Competition game, REBUILT. Their success is a testament to months of hard work, determination, and collaboration.
Although this championship is a major milestone, Team 10435 is already looking ahead. When the 2027 FIRST Robotics Competition game is announced in January, the team will begin designing an entirely new robot while continuing to develop their engineering, programming, and problem-solving skills.
The team attributes its success to the incredible support of its mentors, including Mr. Rana, Ms. Sarina, Ms. Habiba, Mr. Azmat, Mr. Hammad, Mr. AbdulRahim, and Mr. Sulaiman, whose guidance and dedication have helped shape the program throughout the season.
Team 10435 also extends heartfelt appreciation to Sahara Home Care for providing the support and resources that have helped make the robotics program possible. The team is equally grateful to its volunteers, families, and community members whose encouragement has allowed the program to grow and thrive.
