Sahara staff members participated in Downtown Islamic Center’s weekly food drive in honor of World Food Day, which is celebrated on October 16.
The food drive is part of DIC’s interfaith program for which volunteers prepare lunch for homeless individuals in the community and then distribute it. Human Resources Coordinator Habeeba Nazneen and Nazima Begum, Office Manager for our Skokie location volunteered for the recent “Feed Hungry” food drive held at DIC.
“Sahara was happy to participate in this initiative,” said Ms. Habeeba. “We want to encourage our employees to be part of similar events for a good cause.”
